Default Patriot 243 heads pushrod length help?

I got a set of Cnc ported patriot heads from my buddy's wrecked zo6.(he bought it already built) I'm trying to find out the specs on the heads. The numbers patriot heads 1256 4243? anyone familiar with these heads? I know for sure there Cnc ported not sure if there milled. His zo6 put down 670 rwhp 383 stroker, blower cam duration was 240/230 and 9psi of boost from his vortech supercharger. His push rod length was 7.350 does that mean the heads are milled or just from the high lift cam????if so how much??? I bought 7.40 length push rods intending for just a cam swap until I found these heads. So the 7.40 rods probably won't go with my heads and cam swap on my 99ss???my question is why would someone get the heads milled for more compression on a boosted motor?

Anyone? Since the motor was running 7.350 length push rods the heads were milled right? Or does the high lift blower cam (240/230) have anything to do with the push rod length? Because stock is 7.400 length push rod length.

Gasket thickness can also effect pushrod length as well as using an aftermarket cam.

Well of course I'm going to measure it once everything is here. I'm waiting on gasket and head bolts from tsp just trying to have a smooth install by prepping and gathering last minute problems. Like "oh **** wrong pushrods" and be out a daily driver, waiting a week because paying for two day shipping to Hawaii is pointless. These heads came up last minute I was only going to do a cam swap until my buddy totaled his zo6. Just trying to figure out why his motor was running 7.350 pushrods due too a milled head or big 240/230 cam?

D14HUGGER.ORANGE, I just looked all through an old sales catalogue from Patriot Performance that I have here. The P/N that you have listed above 1256 4243 does not show up anywhere in there. Now I am not saying that they are not what you say they are, I am just not finding them in the catalogue. It the numbers are stamped on the end of the head by the Patriot logo, this is not the model # of the head, it is the serial # it should be a 4 digit #. I will P.M. you some info on someone that may be able to help you determine exactly what you have.

Patriot is now Promaxx. Same people. Give them a call, and they will help. I do also have a set of patriot 243 stage three heads. What is the valve size? Also you will probly have to cc the chamber to get an idea on milling.

Yup, there has been a lot of threads about this, and the only good answer is MEASURE with a pushrod length checker.
