Between our stage 2.5 LS6 heads and the AsCast you can typically expect around 10 rwhp plus the benefits of going to the aftermarket casting. Such as a 3/4" deck surface for better clamping force and a raised valve cover rail in case you would like to run aftermarket rockers and don't want to run a spacer.
They're comparable to our stage 2.5 LS6 heads with about .010 more clearance on the exhaust. Though we do have small chambers that start at 62cc and we can mill down from there.

Performance for dollar, I still think these are THE BEST deal out there:

$1199 for 313 CFM. Hell of a deal.

You can use stock components (rockers) on either of our PRC 215 or AsCast heads. We also offer stage 2.5 LS6 heads though for not much more $ you can step up to the AsCast heads to get into an aftermarket casting with 12° valve angles and a 3/4" deck surface.

Having said that, I see you're on a budget, like most of us are. Honestly OP, the first set of used (good used) aftermarket heads you run across on here I'd scoop them up and have a cam spec'd around them. That's what I did.
I already had the cam in the closet, but the heads I just so happened to come across (AFR 205's) worked well with them. It was custom spec'd from Ed Curtis.

I mean, you gotta understand what your reading about, but you can learn a lot on the net. I mean just doing research myself i'm so glad I went with the PRC 215 heads. I was about to go for the stage 2.5 or stage 3 LS6 heads. For a bit more I got the 215's. I'm surprised there are'nt more vouching for the PRC's. They are awesome heads!

Quite a few people including reputable shops around the country dont post on the net. You can also get lopsided experience as well. Hence you shouldn't always believe all of it.
