If those are 241 heads, you might wanna consider buying a new head, rather than having it repaired.

Sorry to hear, you can catch a break at all. Try and keep your head up, mind if I ask How you pulled the pan and about how long it took you?

I had 2 friends helping so it went fairly quick, probably took us about 2 hours or so.I just used a floor jack handle and layed it across the top of the strut towers and put a chain around it and secured it to the engine to keep it up,then just worked the jack on the crossmember under the engine.Take out the motor mount bolts, sway bar,etc....all the stuff to be able to let you drop that crossmember down.I just got it loose enough where I could let the jack down on the crossmember to get enough to slide the pan out.A buddy was kinda directing me on what to do,I had never done it before and he had.I was just taking off what he said to take off,I dont really remember all what we loosened,We were in a bit of a hurry.Alternator came off also.I know this isnt alot of help, just going off what I remember. It doesnt have to drop much and it will slide right out though.

Dang I hate it you have to change the gasket out.Hopefully you will have help,it makes that job alot easier.I think the gasket ran around $50-$60 somewhere around that.Good luck with it though.Im dropping my cylinder head off tomorrow to get done, hopefully ill be up and running friday or saturday.

I'm good as well, had the car tuned on Sunday. Still have a stupid leak, thinking it's the rear main seal now, not as bad as before though
