Yes. A 7 plug is where I would start with 13.5 compression.

Well I was roughing in the last port last night night and then suddenly .......

luckily I was able to reach it with my tig and weld it up. Taking it to the machinest to be pressure tested today.

ordered new quarters and new wheel tubs today, I tubbed the car a few years ago but don’t like the tube results so I want to redo them and to do that I want to replace the quarters also.

Well went to rebuild my tci th350 and install my brake, and found this lovely gem. Only supposed to be weak in third gear, I suppose this could be weak in all gears lol. As much as I couldn’t afford it, I knew I needed to upgrade anyways so I bought the ckc performance mechanical diode drum assembly and the bullet input shaft and drum.

Soooooooooo much better. Tapered the ports back about an 1” to 1.25 inch depending on how bad the lip was. That should help a ton.
