LS2 or Rollmaster Timing Chain
I'm going to be picking up a new timing chain and was wondering if there is any difference between them. I'm talking about the single roller. The cost difference is about $30, I beleive.
Thanks
Thanks

On a double you have to shim for clearance, and it may or may not give you added insurance. I would say that the LS2 is your best option. I do however have the rollermaster. LS2 is good enough for the C5-R race car so I would say it should work for you too.

Not to get off track here but.
If upgrading to a LS2 chain on a High mileage LS1 motor, it would be best to replace crank and cam sprocket, while replacing chain.
So are the cam and crank sprockets (part #) & size ect the same from LS1-LS2???

Unless there is noticeable wear on the sprockets I would not worry too much. This are receives mucho oil lubrication so wear on those parts should be kept to bare minimum. When I added my different cams my car had so low miles that I kept the stock LS1 chain. Shortblock only had 27K on it now. When i'm in there next time I plan on throwing in an LS2 chain for the hell of it. It's sooo cheap and easy it's well worth it. How many TC failures do you often hear of anyway?

The double rows are outdated except in extreme apps. You have to space the pump out and machine the balancer for clearance and alignment issues you run into by runnin the thicker double row. I got the whole set for like 81 bucks shipped so its a great deal.
