Default Eldebrock Heads and 234/242 Cam

I purchased some eldebrock heads with 11 to 1 compression. The intake is 2.02 and exhaust is 1.57. The exhaust runners are 83cc. The heads have dual springs with a 660 lift. It was recommended that the dual springs be shimed to within .050" of coil bend. The intake is a 90 Fast with 90 NW TB. Car has true duals and Yank 4200. If a go with a cam spec at 234/242 .598/.610 110 LSA +4 Adv will I have any V to Piston issues. Your assistance with this is appreciated.

11:1, larger valves, and a 234/242. That sounds like a flycutting combo to me, but I'm no expert.

You should definately check piston to valve. Thats the only way of being sure about it. But sounds like you will need flycutting.

One more vote for a smaller cam or fly cutting.

Default Check P/V clearance

I think that cam will require flycutting with those valves.

Some aftermarket heads have additional p2v clearance so you might be lucky. But you will certainly be insane if you dont check first.

Just curious, what are the intake runner sizes on those heads? You could flycut, or spend some more cash and get some -cc forged pistons and throw in some rod bolts so you can spray and spin without worry.

The intake runners are 202cc and I do have the rod bots.

That is like a G5X3 on a 110+4, no way it will fit without flycutting.
a 234/242 on a 112 fits with less than .080 intake clearance on stock (head /gasket)

No way...I have the same cam, and I had to switch from .040" gaskets to .060" gaskets on STOCK LS6 heads.

No, you will need to MEASURE PTV clearance, and go from there.
