Default How strong is slp's zl402 iron short block

I ordered their zl402 high comp. iron short block. It comes with 4.000'' eagle 4340 forged steel crank,4.000 ross 2618 forged alloy pistons with -6.00ccdish,eagle6.125'' h-beam rods and compression is suppose to be 11.3:1.I wanna know how much horse power it will handle cause I wanna spray a 200 wet shot on it?I'll be using tsp's stg.3 heads with 65cc chamber and ms4 and I'm debating on which head gaskets to run .40 cometic or .45,two more question will their be any ptv clearance issues and what will my compression be at?Let me know guys thanks.

What cam will you be using and which rod bolts come with that short block? I talked to Eagle tech about their 383 stroker for the LS1. They said that 800 rwhp with the L 19 rod bolts would be no problem, and with a 225 shot I should be around (625 - 650 rwhp) it sounds like a go for me.

Well they had oil burning issues when they first came out, maybe they fixed that. Anyways, too late, no need to panic. Put it all together, we will see.

As for the gasket, run a GM MLS 6.0 4.060 bore. They are .050 compressed and will work well. Use ARP studs to clamp it down.
with -6cc you should be OK on PTV but I would recommend you measure if the valves are 2.055 or bigger.

Also run LS7 or Cadillac lifters. as for p-rods gonna have to measure.

I'll run those gaskets and is it better to use those arp studs. The valves measure 2.08 and the p-rods I have already are tsp's 7.400 will those work let me know thanks.

SLP 402 motors now have Callies crankshaft, Manley I beams and manley pistons. Where did you find a ZL402 with eagle rotating assembly? New?

I got it about 3 or 4 months ago from some guy in houston and I just bought the stroker kit and I already had a 6.0 block.
