Several calculators on the web came up with around 625 flywheel hp . May not be real accurate. Did a google search on "1/4 mile Calculator"

well, you're looking at a full-weight 10 second car.. That's a big chore, and will carry a pretty serious price tag.

You say "no nos" but does that mean no forced induction power adders (turbo, supercharger) too, or just no nos?

Without a pretty serious power adder, you will almost definitely be looking at increasing displacemet, unless of course hitting 10's is your only goal, and retaining driveability is of no concern. Loose math only, I would guess you'd need to be over the 600hp mark to click off that et at full weight..

Traction is going to be key as well... You're going to spend a minimum of $3,000 in suspension mods to get you into the 10s... 12 bolt w/ short gears, lca's, torque arm, sfc's, sticky rubber, etc.

Good luck man, I hope you have deep pockets!

i am looking at ATI, LS1 motorsports turbo or H/C. i dont want to really strip the car down, maybe just some of the small things. if i went with the H/C for now, then when my car get some high miles on the short block i would replace it with a 382 and put the top end back on since i already have it. i see alot of ATI and turbo cars that are not running with the H/C cars. which route would be the cheapest to do it. maybe ill have to give into the mighty NOS if i wanna say with H/C.

I think if you went with the Cartek X-Package you could definately hit the 10's N/A and if you ever decided to spray it you would definately hit low 10's. They've already gotten plenty of Vette's in the 10's with that package.

You'll probably have to have you shortblock rebuilt to run 10's without n02 also. A lot of FI cars have to run lower compression to get the desired boost to get them there.

Well, that's tricky... Are you talking a "maximum effort" setup, or a high driveability setup? Also, remember you are on the net here, and for some reason these cars always go faster than what you see at the track.

Realistically, if I were in your shoes and I didn't want to OVER-estimate and disappoint myself, I would say that a H/C full-weight car that retains good driveability is going to be in the 11.60 ET neighborhood.

just go ahead and forge it out, high compression. 5.3L or LS6 heads and a cam with more than 230 on both sides and I would highly think you could do it. I honestly think that it could be done with the ASA cam if it had more lift ground into it so it would match the heads

Carteks S2X package has gone 10's but NOT in anything over 3200lbs.

I have the setup and my car weighs in around 3500 to 3600 and the BEST I;ve gone was 11.17 but most runs are 11.30's.....

I believe u can run 10's on motor at 3500lbs but its hard,I think there may be one or two thats done it.

Now solid roller will do it but a hyd. roller, stock shortblock I dont know?

Good luck and get ready to break parts

I don't think they have any full weight m6s in the 10s. Look at JS's car, he was at only 3500# in an A4 with 1.50 60' times and only ran 11.2s, and thats at a GREAT track!
