Default Performance Design Carbon Fiber/Billet Twin TB intake?

Anybody got any info on these units yet? I noticed it in an issue of hot rod or something in the showcase section or something.

doesn't look like it will clear under an F-body without some MAJOR cutting... but looks sweet.

This it? It looks HUGE. Over 12" tall lol. I'd like to see the throttle linkage needed as well. Interesting.

Actually you can run this setup without any fancy linkage by using dual Drive By Wire. The company I am using for my racecar ECU offers it.

Anyone with connections to the intake manufacturer that wants to sponsor a pretty cool race car...my door is always open for testing.

Nothing for sale there, but tells you about the car and the team.

Cut a hole, duh :p

It's a great intake and I'll be using it eventually. Caleb is great to work with and is working on a variety of different configs for it (e.g., dual dbw, single mechanical, dual mechanical throttle, etc...)

Default Here's an idea.

longer runners...
Must of the market is waiting for a brake through, in configuration, the room is there for the system to work, in a lot of cars, like the o4-o6 gto, the camaro, trans am, munte carlo and so on. What is needed is to think outside the present design constrains.

The runners must be made longer, so they can hang lower, to [just] clear the valve covers. The plenum that now sits at about the 2:30 position, must be allowed to hang at about the 4:30 position, and the plenum inside surface that meet the runners must come to start at the out side surface area of the valve covers. The tb center line should be at about 4:30 angle. Stop, don't argue with camster, go have another one, and come back and think this over.

All that's needed is two, of the prototype longer, lower hanging runners, to place one in each end, of the runners flange, to attach the plenum to it, and see that this system can really hang with the clearances we have.

Bottom line, there's is definitely enough room there, and beside, longer runners may else be a plus.

The outside end of the runners don't need to be as tall, they can be made wider, to save room, and can even be made round for even more room, and can be made oval, even lower.
If you plan to discredit me, you better have a better solution, lets talk.
Better jet, lets get the show on the road, everything is possible if you can believe. Lets tool up for a dual Tb/dual plenum screamer for da gang.
Don't stop, let the idea take shape. I am willing to help to develop a working design, to be implemented, to work in multiple vehicles. Lets hope Performancedesign will take note.

Cool. Most of those should go for around 300 bucks. **** the cost on LS intakes.

I like the potential of the long runner intake in the video. Looks like it would sit to high for my car and then the dual throttle bodies that would be required.

Edit: I just checked the price. $5000

At that price they'll be lucky to sell 5 to fbody owners, some vette owners might stand up to the plate.

I can see this in the swap/custom car market where price is less of a concern.

For the "average joe" that has an F-Body, GTO, G8, etc. where hood clearance is at a premium and the wallet is not so abundant, there are still decent options that make decent power.
