Same here, dry sump oiling is not necessary for this caliber of a build as well swinging the cost for one. I have had the HVAC removed on the car for over 10 years now. It makes everything clean and simple on this set up. Just two belts, one for the alternator and one for the pump.

Your engine compartment is looking very clean. You are obviously fastidious. Nice work!

Thanks. I pretty much kept it that way since it was new. The medium patriot red metallic color paint as Chevrolet called it in 1994 is still original.

And for those that run a vacuum pump, how are you regulating the vacuum? Do I need some kind of regulator, and/or gauge to keep it in check?

Assuming the Moroso doesn't have some sort of built in regulator, yes you need some sort of external vacuum control. Here is but one example of an adjustable vacuum control valve.

Thanks Travis. Thats a good one, but I already plumbed a -12AN hose from the valley cover going to the pump, then pump to a Moroso filtered tank.
I've done some research, and Moroso does make a pump mounted valve relief regulator. Reher Morrison Performance Racing makes a similar pump mounted regulator as well.

Thanks again man, you seem to always chime in at right time-Whats the black canister between the pump and the regulator? I notice also, where can I get a map sensor like the one you have in front the Accufab TB?

Tim put the can between the pump and valve cover and I kept it. It works...catches the condensation and has -4 drain. I have another catch can on the pump outlet mounted behind the bumper.

The map is an AC Delco, #1261497343011. Got it from GM Parts Now or O'Reilley's. There is a piece of fuel line between it and the TB.

During my last seven yrs in the USAF, almost all communication was via email so because of that and my OCD, I check, organize and clean out my email pretty often. %-)

You got me regretting not doing the vacuum pump. Looks good. Now let's see what it does for power and do us a favor and make a pull without the belt on the pump so we can see the power difference.

Correct. I have it addressed by using a different inlet fitting available from Meziere Enterprise.

Since I'm already utilizing an ATI hub w/ a gilmer pulley, I have no choice but to run one. And that's great idea, I will just do that, to run a back to back comparison.

Yep. Thinking harder about the vacuum pump. On the dyno yesterday at Musclecar Nationals I blew the cleanside separator off the valve cover. Got crankcase pressure? Yes, yes I do.
