I just want to say that you have impressive times on your car. Especially the mph.

Hell a hci ls7 could go 147 at 2800lbs..

And they make a little over 600rwhp?

Sound about right?

No, no, no. Try that below sea level and a 600rwhp Z will be lucky to get 135 traps. BTW, I've seen traps at 147 and that takes near 800rwhp from my car. I'm guessing that Mast intake must be bad azz. Also, I agree car runs hard.

How about sending a copy of the graph without the numbers, just cut and paste out the RPM part. Did you mean the car revs to 7400 or peaks at 7400? Just not seeing it w/those heads---at least not yet.

hes got nothing to prove if he is running that on the motor. I am just looking for ANY, and I say again, ANY TEA TFS 245 head that can show a power curve further than mine

The long runner intake you have is going to limit your RPM peak. Not to 5800, but it will certainly limit it. I would guess that Mast intake would raise your power peak RPM 300-500 RPM.

This thread isnt about my car. I was merely trying to let the OP know what his heads are capable of is all.
Ther'es faster stuff out there than mine for sure. Ill get mine figured out someday
Good luck

I'm waaaaaaaaaaaaay on the outside looking in, but if the engine is peaking at 5800 (or so) RPMs with three different (aggressive) cams, and the heads are known to pull to the 7000 RPM range, then it's a pretty much a certainty that there's problem with the valve train or with something inside the engine.

Just my opinion.

I really don't think I've ever seen an LS engine limited at 5800 w/the FAST.
Both my TFS235 and my friends MAST245 engines were into the 6000+ rpms on peak.

crossbreed claims 7400rpm peak, thats 1600 more rpm. Even my old HR was shifted at 7200 for best ETs. If I gain 500rpm w/the Mast, Kip better get a UPS shipping label ready.

I wasn't gonna comment on this earlier, but one of the first things to look at when dyno'ing a car is the RPMs of the peak power and peak torque. Particularly if you're gonna be racing the car.

The links below are from the 'Dyno' thread'. I don't think any of these heads are TEA TF 245's, but all of them are cathedral port heads (with smaller intake ports) that peak right about 6500 RPMs. I can see no reason why your engine shouldn't peak at LEAST at the same point.

Thanks for your input, but No kidding! We want RPM way up there as more airflow should pass through.

I am not arguing "cathedral ports", even my last TFS235s were in 6200-6400rp range, about what I would expect. In case you weren't following, on the EXACT SAME engine I took the 235s off and put the 245s on, good bye rpm and power. I attributed that to 11.5:1 compression and maybe bleeding off compression. One cylinder at the time was known to be a little low. So heads sucked right from the start. Once I rebuilt the engine, good compression and leak down, to 13:1 same results. Just the facts.

The car is going to get raced not this weekend but next, so I will post up and we will follow this problem to success.

You'll have to ignore that statement, I'm in cathedral port hell right now.

I have the TFS 235's with a Frankenstein 245 CNC program ran on them. With a FAST 92 is peaks around 6200.

What do you think your engine would make on an engine dyno?

What??

A cam only ls7 car making in the mid 500s will go into the mid 130s all day..

I've never dynoed over 600rwhp and have plenty of mid 130s traps on older motors/setups.

Why don't you just bring that tin can down here and see if it actually gets any faster??

Talked to Mast Motorsports today about the intake. From our discussion, I would expect around ~500rpm and 60hp gain, so ~maybe 35-40rwhp gain. Good news the intake is only 9" base to carb mount. The Hi Ram is a total of 12.32" including base and plenum. Apparently there is a drive by wire TB conversion plate for the Mast. All this could come in useful if I go LS3 heads.

Overall, its not looking good for the heads. Testing current setup this Saturday.
