Ls2 408 stroker
I have no results yet.
My car isn't ready.
Engine builder is on holidays with his family.
Won't be back till Monday.
By the end of next week I am sure I will have results to post here.
I haven't forgotten about it.

Engine builder had to take rocker bolts to the machine shop as for some reason they were threaded only about half way the length of the bolt from Yella Terra.
The machine shop modified them and now the threads are almost the length of the bolt so we have more support.
Thicker gaskets were fitted also so compression is at 12:1.1 now so we should be able to dial in a good timing curve now.
Those custom Manton pushrods I ordered in the 7.800 length will not be compatible.
A longer pushrod is required.
Rockers are going in very soon and will update this thread to state what pushrod length was required.
Camshaft was also installed and timed correctly.
So looks like engine should be on the dyno next week for sure.
Fingers crossed......

Just heard back from my tuner in regards to pushrods.
Here in Australia we only have access to a 5/16 .110 thick pushrods.
Cam motion however recommend a 5/16 .130 wall thick pushrod for their low lash solid roller.
Would the slightly narrower .110 wall suffice?
3/8 pushrods will end up grinding on the intake port so we can't use them.

They don't have a choice for .130" wall but I'm sure if you search there'd be some on there.

I have emailed Pat G who I purchased the camshaft from to see if those 5/16 with the .110 wall will work or not with my combo/valvetrain.
If he says it will then I won't have any issues and can get them locally.
If not, the summit ones look good too.

He put in the lifters I purchased from howards, and he thinks he will be able to fit 3/8 pushrods in there because these lifters are shorter.
Will see what happens.
