Kind of a dumb update, but slower progress. LazerLemonTA came to visit this weekend, and we had a blast. Also, this happened, which diverted a significant amount of time from the car:

Wife got me a pure, blue Great Dane female pup. Six weeks old and already eight pounds. Will likely weight 150 based on parents' weights

Lazer helped me figure a course of action that makes the most sense along with texting Tony at weird hours. Holley tall covers are on the way. Along with FAST fuel injector extenders. That gets me running once I measure for new spark wires. Buttoned up the front of the motor. Installing the hub became a fiasco, but not for any bad reason. Installer tool didn't reach all the way in, so a trip to fastenal to get some 16mm x 2mm thread rod and some nuts to build an installer tool. Credit to Lazer for coming up with that one.

Got the water pump and alternator installed as well. At this point, I need to install the radiator, fuel rail, valve covers, vacuum pump, and connect the headers to the exhaust. if Summit racing delivers today, I'll be able to measure for the new plug wires. I'm 100% positive the spark wires are going to be too short. Between the taller covers and thicker gaskets, I'll be close to 1" longer wires at a minimum.

Oh, and silver is the fastest color...

I appreciate it. I didn't air freight, so that's ok. I have the tracking info. I think every build I have done has used yall for something.

I just got a new puppy too. Goddamn they're needy. You'll be building fast trucks instead with a dog that big!

Interesting read, I hope the Mamo MSD works for you. You should break 6 easily with your cam/heads combo. TQ is what you should worry about, what is your CR? I must of missed it.

I have a bengal cat who has very similar characteristics to a puppy.
Needy as **** 24 hours a day and he doesn't like exploring outside if I am home.
He always wants to be around me and doesn't like to be separated.
He sleeps right next to me and wants to be petted while he sleeps.
I thought this clingy behaviour would stop at a certain point but after 5 years it's evident it is here to stay.

Compression is 12.7:1. Probably a little past the brink, but boostane exists as does E85. I actually figured out I have more cam than I realized. Cam dr report is on 1.7. I have 1.8. So lift at .050 is actually at .047. So assuming the math is right add two degrees to both sides intake and exhaust.

The intake should do ok. It ran neck and neck with fast lsxhr on a 468 thread. Only way I know to do better will be to cut the car up to fit a cid. End up being a $8000 intake. No thanks.

FWIW, plugs are BR7, gapped to .043. Have the High Energy Redline coils, so I could likely go to a higher gap, but I wanted to avoid misfiring. If I had stock coils, i'd have gone to .035.

I got the fuel injector extenders and Tony was concerned about the fuel puddling and hurting the way the motor drives. So, slight delay while waiting for new injectors. Although I can get the measurements I need for the plug wires. Tomorrow -- Wife's birthday today. I'm not suicidal.

Injector spacers are fine on the rail side, but I'd never run anything between the injector tip and the manifold.

Isn't the BR7 the non-projected tip plug?

Yes, non-projected tip. I did this on purpose due to the compression I'm running combined with the fuel I have available. Hoping it allows me to push the timing a little.

Good call, on all my higher HP stuff I run non-projected BR7's. Nice to have some cushion against detonation.

I might have gotten that from one of your posts. I'm not honestly sure anymore. You can have the credit if you'd like. LOL
