For you guys who said 9s isnt obtainable....
Ok considering i couldnt drive for ***** tonight, my launch was less than perfect and my 60s sucked.....
60': 1.490
1/8: 6.7 @ 102
1/4: 10.61 @ 127.67
My launch needs serious work...it came up a little crooked and i let out of it and got back into it when it came down. It only pulled them about 1 foot so I was happy about that. I know I can get that 60 into the 1.3s. 10.61 isnt bad for not racing for 4 months and doing shakedown runs!!
I dont care if you guys dont think I can get into the 9s or not, but you just watch! Its gonna take some suspension tuning and more driving practice but it will come!!

yeah i think your gonna need 130mph to touch 9's. my friends 87 TA has about a 3500lb race weight or so, and traps 132. best ET was 10.09. 406 small block with 150shot. on motor it goes 10.8 at 126. stock 10bolt rear tho, so his launch wasnt all there but it still pulled the tires 6-7inches.
1.3 60's is pretty quick. i think 130mph will get u the 9's

I would love to get 9`s with my new set-up. 408 LME with ET heads and a 200 shot just might get me there. Everything in my sig is going with it. I hope I have enough to touch them! What do you think?

Looks like you backed up what most estimated you would run. Understand that we are not against you... A lot of us are shooting for 9 sec passes with our street cars. But we also know that unless you have a VERY light car, you won't go 9's without over 500hp.
What does your car weigh? My guess is you have already lightened it up to about 3300?
BWS6 you'll get there as long as you can hook. On the spray you should be in the 650-700 hp range. Better hope the tranny stays together

well, it sounds to me like you still haven't obtained it... :shrug:
Im not sure who you are talking to, but I don't see anyone saying you can't obtain them. it doesn't look like you have the power/weight ratio in the current setup though.

yea josh, im feeling the car is to heavy.. look at magnus and them running 9's stock bottom with heads and cam only.... they went 10.2-10.3 cam only lol.. u went 11.60 cam only.. they are prolly making well over 400rwhp, but not as much as you and they still did it.. i think you can do it josh, i just feel ur gonna have to start gutting the ******

Ive still got plenty of weight reduction mods I can do. I can get the weight down to 3100. Its gonna be tough but im goin to go for it. I realize .6 is a good bit to go but based on how easy I was launching last night and the problems i felt....theres more left in it and it just may be enough! I could always take out that tiny 3800 stall and go bigger.........

You can do it... I'd bet my *** on it. With the right camshaft, a bigger stall 4500+, and a 1.3X short time you would be knockin on the 9's.. especially if you can scrap a few more pounds of bullshit out of the car..

that cam is the biggest hyrd roller cam motion offered! its in the 25x/26x range. I cant remember the exact specs. The cam is maxed out pretty much! The car only put down 476/527 but thats through the th400 and 9". Im 110% sure a bigger stall will get me into the 9s but Im slap out of money for a bigger stall for a few months. I still need: tubular a-arms, lightweight brakes (strange fronts possibly), other than that its gonna be tough!

not trying to slam black8banger,but his car does have a lot left in her.there is 1 to 2 tenths still tied up in the first 60 feet.trans brake,shock settings,and just more (behind the wheel time).its just gonna take some more track days and he will have it. it was his first time out with that combo,so its only going to get better.his top end charge is equal to most guys with a 150 to 200 shot of nitrous,it pulls!
