Awesome buildup Kevin!!! I love the methodical approach you have always taken in this thread.
I've worked with some very talented people along the way. Phil Thomas, Ed Hutchings and now Shawn Miller and many friends that have helped me work on the car.

I'll let Shawn comment on the cam if he wants to. I will tell you it's still a very small cam for a 427.

Cool to see you're still going on this and making more power while still running that ported intake! Can't wait to see where it with the next mods.

That's good for stock intake, The JT cam is no more and out dated

Do you have any engine dyno sheets to post up?

We find on the engine dyno with some of the restricted speedway engines that they have vacuum at WOT, a power valve change is a must then. Removing the restrictor plate and changing to a better manifold removes the vac restriction. Currently Im at only 96 kpa with OTR on aswell so I'm in need of a manifold aswell.

Thanks Corey. That's your port work. I've already been PM'd by a few people about buying it if the FAST works.

I don't think the JT cam is out-dated at all. The bigger cubes just wanted something a little different. I think it's still a great cam for a 403 and smaller.

We'll see what happens when Shawn starts cutting up the FAST.

VA Speed is right at sea level so the Kpa should be very real with no need adjust for altitude. I stayed upwards of 98-99 with the 4 inch downtube. Before that it would drop to 93-94.

Shawn should throw the Fast on first before he does any work to it, Just to get a baseline. Then do the work he intends. My guess is this is what he'd probably do anyways. It would be sweet if the car picks up what he thinks it can with the Fast, I know it would make my day too

If the FAST were to pick up 10-12 out of the box would you leave it alone?

Is the 9/16 race cam better than the 3/4 race cams of the '70's?lol.

I'll leave the decision on the manifold to Shawn.

The 9/16 race cam is smaller than the 3/4 race cam.
