Has anyone heard of LS7s (with LS7 heads) suffering valve-train failures from mild after-market cams??? (even with upgraded springs)

I just received my LS7 heads for my build. I was looking at a fairly aggressive cam. I"ve heard about some failures but, not the exact reason. What can I expect and what should I do to try to eliminate any possible issues? Or is it even anything to worry about. Is it something to do with the Ti intake valves?

Hey Louis,
What/where are lashpads? And which bearings are you refering to? Are these very widespread problems or just freak occurance(although with how few Z06s there are, there shouldn't be any freak occurances...)?

I think Lou is referring to the steel caps (lashcaps???) that sit on top of the TI (intake) valve stems to protect them from the rocker... From what I have read this is not an issue on more mildly lifted cams... less than .615ish...
