I had an awesome time. They could make the track work and it was great seeing a lot of familiar faces from over the years.

I was there. Posted over on YB too, but will copy and paste over here too.
Family medical problems kept me away from racing, but I was able to sneak up Sunday to watch the finals. I can honestly say one of the smoothest ran finals I've seen in a while.
Major props to PSJ and everyone else involved in making this happen. I think everyone there could "sense" the opportunity to make this thing HUGE in years to come.
Also, thanks to LMR and Koehler for bringing out their big guns and making some passes. And a big "wow" note to that blue with yellow striped 3rd gen! Damn near took out the LMR car!

I was there. Great event. Too bad the weather during the early part of the event seemed to keep some people away.
overall a great turnout for a first year event that was rained on Friday and part of Saturday.

John, I seen you when you guys were coming in on Friday but I didn't really see you the rest of the weekend. I wanted to cruise around and talk to people but I had a lot going on and Family with me. So I didn't get around much other then talking to vendors.
We had a up and down weekend.
It started off good on Friday as my car ran a few pb's at 10.06, 10.03 then a 9.98@134.
Then in T/S it got really hot on the 30 mile drive (250 degree) and would not run very well on the 3 passes. The plugs got hot and gassed up. So it ran shitty and ended up with a 11.463 avg. I was going for 11.000.
Then in index, I lost in the first round. I was going for the 10.50 index and ran a 10.899 to the other guys 13.238 on a 13.000 index.
My car spun hard 1.88 60'.
All in all we had a great time. I will for sure go again next year. I hope everyone else does aswell. This is a great event that does NOT have to be GM bodied specific.

Yeah it was an awesome time, I think Holley pulled it off. I was hoping to spend more time with your Mustang and pick your brains but I was helping Andy and also occasionally talking to the event staff if folks asked me.

I gotta say this was by far the best LS event of the past couple years. The venue was great, covered grandstand FTW! Having the autocross out there was awesome. The car show guys had a great place to setup with lots of shade. Vender area was great, and had a great turnout for a first year event. Overall A++ to everyone that had a hand in this. I really hope they continue this. It felt like what the shootout could have been if it stepped away from NMCA and I hope that this years showing at LSfest is a good indicator that even in a shitty *** econonmy a stand alone LS event can pull in reasonable numbers!

I think this was the best LS event ever, but the first LSX Shootout back in '07 was a lot of fun too.
I was there, my face and neck are red, and i'm tired as hell from running 2 cars and trying to participate in everything there was to offer.
Props to the big guns for showing up even with a lackluster car count, but **** we have to start somewhere!

I had a blast! Got to make plenty of passes, was able to have a shot at 2 different classes. and I ended up winner in the Bracket race. never missed a shift all weekend
Track went to **** and car slowed up 1st round of index, my 60's went from 1.52 to 1.68... and went 11.10 to 11.03 both of us on 11.00 index.
but I think it was an awesome event with lots of action always going on.
thanks to everyone for putting on a good show, cant wait till next year!
So how High to I got to rev my stock 6.0L short block to get some attention? was 8200 not enough? i'd come out of the burnout box on the high side... haha

I had a great time, and it was nice to hang out with familiar faces. Couldn't ask for a better group of racers to compete with who will go the extra mile to help each other out when in need. Looking forward to next year! It should be even better.

I was there with two of my cars! One was the 1987 Luxury sport Monte Carlo with the camaro dash and functions and the other was the Calico Cam Only camaro. Had a great time and a great weekend. Placed first in my class with the LS1 Monte and got Fifth in the bracket class with the camaro. Bad thing was that I beat myself on a great run. I redlighted a -.031 and dialed an 11.24 and ran an 11.243 so if I woulda cut a bad light woud still have been hard to beat!

Was that your camaro that had body parts from three different color cars? I love that car.
Great catching up with you Mike/Matt/Mark. I have a system now, Dave with the wave, Ryan with the lion...
I drank like 10 giant bottles of ice tea and only took like two leaks.
