LS4 Transmission Problem Thread (4T65-HD); Current Total Inside
My car has shudders since 20k miles. Wife drives it mostly and the car has seen a lot of highway miles. I drive it hard here and there and use to use the tap shift a lot but the way it shifts its no fun to use anymore. I plan on keeping the car a long while so I am sure eventually TEP will get some of my business

Hopefully, you can get it taken care of while still under warranty..Just don't wait too long!

It's good you found a dealer that took care of you. It's just a shame that the replacement tranny has the same flaws as the original.
You may want to file this issue with GM and the NHTSA as described on this thread:

There are 80K+ LS4 powered vehicles on the road.
And you can take gxp-miller off that list, there is nothing wrong with his transmission. How many other names are on there that shouldn't be? You have single-handedly ruined this forum for me, just so you know. I've put up with a lot of flack about my car and you're the one to run me off. Congratulations, I'm gone like Mike.
Mine shudders really bad at WOT on the 1-2 shift. I seriously doubt it's wheel hopping so seems to be something internal.
Works fine any other time though.
2005 GP GXP with 71,000 miles. Fluid is cherry red and smells fine and I have a tranny cooler.

Where you having problems, pre-turbo?
