I dont think its factory on our cars(Grand Prix), but I believe the police package Impala has it. Lots of confusing info everywhere.

This is the kit.

All things wbody are interchangeable. The red was the gmpp I got off a 9c1 police impala. The Dorman unit like I said before is a solid unit but you have to use 97 03 control arms and end links as stated before. I know you hate Dorman but this is money well spent. As for what you linked with no size I wouldn't order unless I knew for sure.

Thanks. That red bar looks much smaller in the pic, the gmmp bar should be a little bigger. I will check them both out

Then your whole parts list would have had to change also. I've been planning this for awhile, just keep watching prices and looking for deals. I have had the sway bar bushings and end links for awhile, that's why I haven't jumped on the GMpartsdirect package.

Yea, I'm not about the quarter mile runs. I love high speed and handling.

I would've went for a bigger cooler being canned and mild stall. Not to mention it won't catch the most airflow. But regardless the quick fitting can take out and substitute with a 3/8th to -6 fitting so you can make more reliable connections

well, given that its almost identical in size the hayden 679 cooler i just sold, and the fact that the OEM fittings and lines are just as reliable as AN lines, I dont feel as though this is going to be a problem. If it was good enough for the impala police pursuit car, then im sure its good enough for my DD.

Police cars also never came canned and stalled. Different ball game. I have that same one I used from a police package impala. Did good but doesn't perform nearly the same as the police package oil cooler ended up. Drove from from Arizona to Georgia with the highest being 172.. mostly 167 the whole way. AN fittings easily trump quick connect cap that's prone to leaks.

I am not canned and stalled, cammed maybe, but not stalled. This is a factory replacement converter from TEP, not a stall converter. The highest I get is in the 220's, if it dropped it 20 degrees, id be happy. This setup is also an aftercooler as well, which is exactly the way I wanted it.

got it partially installed tonight, as i suspected that damn top outlet runs smack into something. So gonna have to figure out some hard line routing to make that turn up and over the AC condenser around the radiator to the existing line. Gonna enlist a buddy of mine who does this kinda stuff for a living to design a semi hard line to make that turn and go into the trans. Very happy with the mounting of the cooler right now, just have it secured at the bottom with zip ties at the moment while i continue to mock up the lines, had to make a minor modification to the torque mount bracket and tap the hole right below it for a M8 bolt.
