Who's still going for the Bolt on only record?
whos still left and in the running? i know john p. (1slowformula) said he was out and tom cowle was done with trying to improve his record of 11.49 or 11.48 (w/e it is) so whos still aiming for it? im on the fence if i should go for it or move on. im at 12.42 @ 107mph @ 3275lbs right now and i feel like im hitting a brick wall. (even tho i still got a lot of mods to do)
so whos still going for it? i knew there was a few guys who were in the low 12's high 11's going for it.. speak up!

I'm not too concerned with the record, but I do intend to run into the 11s before I add any power. I finally did some suspension work and will be having the converter restalled along with some more weight reduction.

My original goal was to hit 12.5 then put in the new built motor and go for 11.5s then 10.5s on juice but I grew impatient and went ahead and did motor swap so now I'm hoping for 11s N/A and 10s on juice.

The current record is held by Tom Cowle (sp?) with a 11.481 @ 118.98, it was held by Shon Herron with an 11.805 @ 113.96 for years prior to Tom and I duking it out to get there, I took the record from Shon with the time in my sig, then a little more then a month later Tom took it from me. My car is still bolt-on only but it gained a little weight and hasn't been back to the track as I was planning on swapping out the motor, but finances didn't allow me to do the motor swap so it's now a bolt-on only LT1 and 4l60e sitting in a full caged car...

I think im still gonna go for it. Ive got an extra motor in the garage im planin on doing a budget 383 on but i dont wanna do any major changes till after this season. Im lookin for an EWP right now and then gonna order a set of Scorpion 1.7RR's. I really havent talked about since its summer and times are almost half a second slow. But come winter time ill be posting up.
You should go for it. Its alot of fun plus you dont have to beat the record, 11's is a great achievement. There is really only me and three others in the 11's that im aware of? So join the Elite 5! lol

Basically you take a stock longblock from gm and drop it in to a car that has everything that can be done to it. Must have stock LT1 intake, no Lt4's. But then again idk know the official ruling on carb. conversions(there really is no ruling) but if im not mistaken tom cowle had a carb intake when he set the record. I thought i remembered hearing he ran an 11.52 carbed then swapped back to efi to get the 11.48? Could someone please confirm that?
