actually i found the radiator trimming easy compared to the hood. mostly becasue if i dont like how it turned out... trash it. cutting the hood, hard to fix! lol but allin all i love it! need to fix some clearance issues and i will try and post some pics.

I did almost all of my cutting to the hood and metal rad support on the car with a set of offset sheet metal shears. It cut through the underside of the hood like it was nothing, it went through the thicker metal on the rad support pretty easily too. I used to work in the heating and airconditioning industry so I've got a pretty big assortment of sheetmetal tools. It makes a lot nicer cut than a cutoff wheel imo. You can get a pair of the offset shears for like $15-$20 at lowes or homedepot.

I was not sure about how i was going to make my cut on the core support until i laid my eyes on my friends sawzall....Made my guideline and started cutting. My friends were freaked out when they saw the hood up and the sound of metal getting chewed lol......
Must admit that was the most straight line i have ever cut in my life! I cut more and more i even began trimming with that sawzall, if you have a steady hand you will be fine.....

Man, you guys with Camaros have a hard way to go. I only had to even up the mounting pads, trim the ribs, trim the rubber rad shroud and cut out the center support for the lid setup to fit perfectly on my Ram Air Formula (stock GM hood). It's worth the effort though.

I just posted up a new MTI lid and 98 z28 lower air box in for sale section. I was going this route before I went to a victor jr and carb conversion so I no longer need them.
