Why do you think you need a "heavy duty" one. The stocker is rather reliable, even in performance applications.

To answer your question, no. Non-vented setups are very limited in timing chain choice. You would need to convert to a vented optispark to increase your options.

I believe Lunati does offer a early timing set.

Lunati does make a timing set for early non-vented setups, but it hardly better than the stocker (bar-link type). The OP is asking for a heavy duty alternative it seems, and the only real solution is the LT4 ED kit or a double roller such as the Cloyes 3145.

JMHO, of course.

For that kind of power, you'll need a double-roller, hands down. You need an electric water pump, 95 timing cover, vented optispark/accessories (including vacuum tubing and harness).

Just curious, what type of setup are you planning on running? 1000HP is a ridiculous amount of power through an LT1. Expect some flak unless you spill the beans.

Doug Rippie Motorsports makes one, but pricey:

For the LT1 (1992-94)

Timing chain

$29.95

Cam gear
30-130
$365.95

Crank gear
30-131
$29.95

Water pump drive gear
30-132
$89.95

Complete kit
30-135
$549.95

ya i have a ewp already. i was hoping someone would know something i didnt on the timing chain for an 94. guess ill convert to the later style opti and what not!

well before i took it apart it put down 670 thru the th400, and that was with stock casting heads, stock lt1 intake, a2A intercooler, pump gas, at 14 psi. now its getting ported afr 220's, ported lt4 intake, A2W cooler, race gas, a little more comp, and more boost! so i think 900 will be easy, but hoping for 1000! might have to change turbos to get there tho!
