You need something along these lines. My cam is 272/286 at .050 .866/.848 lift and these clear by over .100 anywhere from a 102ICL to a 112ICL.

Dave Calvert at CP is who designed mine.....when you look into them you could contact him and use my piston as a reference for valve pocket depths. It is a 4.130x1.125 compression height deal. Your standard 9" deck/6" rod/3.750 deal. I wonder if he could just shrink the bore to fit your app???

What cam are you trying to run?

My shop fly cut like .070 from my SRPs and said it was still plenty thick.

My valves were physically touching at 26x exh duration and .73x" lift, but my older style AFRs set the valves closer to the exh side on the shallow part of the valve relief.

I see, that sucks lol.

Mine didn't really need the notches themselves deeper, just needed them moved over some .

What is it exactly that keeps you guys working on the LT1 platform. Is it the reverse cooling? In reality all this platform is is a Gen 1 engine with backwards cooling. Most bitch about the opti, or the computer. Why not do a Gen 1? You would have infinite parts availability, infinate bore/stroke possiblilites...no "dreaded" opti. They are both 23° heads which in the real world suck....lifter placements are all the same, bore space is the same, engine mounts are the same....bells are the same.

Why beat your head against the wall???
i can only speak for myself.. but i bought the farm on this platform many years ago. what can i say i didn't know any better. i should have spent the money on LS **** 11 years ago. too late now.

I was grilling Brian Lohnes the otherday on facebook.....he wouldn't give it up. Just waiting on a couple contracts to get signed by the tracks yet. He did say that it would be "fast" this year. I take that as some lower elevation racing. I'd like to see an Indyish start, and head east....

Ellis, since your not using the optispark there is no reason you can't use the regular Bowtie block. Since you say fu*k 23 deg heads, there is a huge selection of roll over heads available. I don't see anything "LT1" about your engine now but a thin wall casting block.
