Default true dual question.

Where can I get the x pipe for true duals? And what muffler sounds nice? My car is a 95 z28 m6. And I'm not gonna run cats

Is it that much better than the y pipe that came with my jba headers

Summitracing sells 2.5 inch and 3 inch X pipes, i think Jeg's also has them, im not sure if im allowed to mention LPP but they also have polished stainless steel X pipe. If its a daily driver i would go with 2.5inch X pipe more ground clearance.

Theres a ton of different mufflers that sound good depends how much money you want to spend.

You might also wanta check out this link lots of true dual exhaust setups.

I want something that sounds great for a daily driver.

The exhaust I have right now sounds F-ing amazing. But I keep hearing true dual is the way to go

Lot of people dont like single chamber flowmaster, but thats what i run and i love it!

If i had to do it again i would go flowmaster again, and with a cam it would sound even better.

Do you have a video laying around? How does a universal xpipe hook up to my headers?

Im not pushing much horsepower just bolt-on's, i just did the X pipe for the sound, i had mine weld together at a exhaust shop. Here's a picture and video.

I mean the three little bolts at the end of the header where the gasket goes. Does that bolt up to the universal Xpipe? .

No you have to buy the flanges to bolt them up to your headers

Running true duals with shorties is going to be a PITA, due to the position of the collectors and will require a crafty exhaust fabricator. Long tubes make life MUCH easier because the collectors are lower and parallel with the car.

I'm not saying it's impossible by any means - it's just that most people who rave about true duals have long tubes.

if your current exhaust set-up sounds sick, why do you want to change it?

You're still going with the built engine?

X pipe into 2 chambered mufflers.

Go with either madhammer or classic chambered, they both sound amazing.

I built my TD's from Magnaflow stainless pipes. They also have a couple different x-pipes too. I also went with the Magnaflow dual in/out straight through muffler. Sond clips and pics in sig.
