Seafoam only goes in the gas. That's what it was designed for. Never put it in the oil. NEVER! Seafoam in your engine oil is like praying for a spun bearing. All it does is lower the viscosity. Also, pouring it through the brake booster vacuum line will only clean cylinders 7 & 8 on an LT1 b/c it's too heavy and doesn't make its way any further forward in the intake. So, class, where do we put seafoam?

Introducing a misted liquid to the combustion chamber through a vacuum port can do some decarboning, as mentioned the brake booster wont give you good distribution with an LT1 you would need to go from a few places.
Introducing liquid to the combustion chamber carries some risk of engine damage though.
Then again in an engine with heated O2 sensors there will not be the amount of carbon an older engine typically had.

When i purchase a vehicle i typically pull it into the drive way... open a can of seafoam and pour half a can into the oil. let it idle for about 5 min and then do an oil change. that is about all of the use i have for seafoam... just my .02

I call bullshit Seafoam is great stuff When I worked @ Seadoo & Suzuki I saved customers a load of money One of em woulda been a 1600 dollar bill for injectors on an Ultra 150 Its petroleom (sp) based & cleans carbon Its not snake oil lol I guess an injector clean from a professional shop or dealership is a farse too???? LoL Use it with confidence

The only thing I would add to my oil is oil(5w-30), driving around with a chemical close to paint thinner sounds like bearings and rings are gonna hate you within the next year if that!

To the op. Is your car not running right? Why do you want to seafoam? I just took apart a 150k mile lt1. Didn't look bad at all. No need to throw crap in your oil.

There's better injector cleaners out there than seafoam and better top end cleaners out there. And putting it in your oil is retarded.
Not to mention My oil pan at 100k miles had 0 buildup or sludge in it, and at 130k miles there is not a sign of any sludge in my valley.
