I have been looking to redo my radiator and fan setup for my new procharger setup, and while I was looking I thought I should go ahead and redo the Coolant recovery tank setup as well.
Heres a Pic of the Factory Coolant recovery tank

Fro the pic it looks like there is just one line from the radiator filler neck to the coolant tank and thats it.
Well the coolant tank and the battery tray are connect as one. I can either relocate my battery to the back or bay a seperate tray and mount it in the original spot.
For the Recovery tank I would like to buy an aftermarket peice (or another car model) and actually mount it where the battery goes and just relocate the battery to the rear.
Has anyone done this and if so what did you USE?

i have thought of this too putting the battery in the spare tire spot and getting the square style recovery tank to put where the battery goes , get some pics if you do it and all like to see how it works out

I might be getting a Z28 body and would probably be ditching my ram air setup and thought about moving my standalone fuel tank over to the battery area and putting the battery in the trunk. Of course the recovery tank would have to go so I was just wondering.

I will call Monday and get the size on that tank, I may try a local parts store as well and see if I can't find something similiar.
Does anyone now a kit Battery relocation kit, and how hard is it. I figured I would move it to the spare tire location.

I was really impressed with the fit and finish of this bracket. It's tailor made to fit 4th gens. It fits in the spare tire well so solidly, that if I grabbed onto the top of the battery and wiggled it, it would wiggle the whole rear of the car with it. Installed in about 10 minutes: all it required was mocking it up to find the best position for it to seat and then drilling two holes through the subframe rail to mount it. It's also nice because it's totally hidden.
