Default should I breakin my new motoron the dyno

I have a freshly built 383 that is almost complete and ready to be broke in. Should I have the engine broke in on the dyno, or should I drive the car around to break it in... I'm thinking of going with the dyno route.any pros or cons?

I invested alot into the car and don't want to take any short cuts that I will regret.

I always do 250 miles of normal / mild street driving to let a few heat cycles work through and let the rings seat good then its ball to the wall

Break-in methods are over-rated. Watch an professional shop break in an engine on a dyno and you'll feel sorry for it. They'll usually crank it up and let it run for 15 minutes, kill it, check the valves, then let it rip. It will make progressively more power in the beginning as the rings seat, though.
