Blue car is still on jack stands, sleeping and waiting for more parts.
The funny thing about the race was, that the ls1 guy has been a little cocky around town because he has a big cam. The little Lt1 i built sent him home after that.

well whats a ls1 with ported stock heads and cam good for? about 500?
lt1 ported stock castings 440?
and the ls1 dont have to get badass offset rockers ect when they go that big, so no expensive valvetrain, and you have the advantage of going to a 400+ cubic inch motor, even 500 plus, and you can always get a big enough head to feed them, heck even the stock l92 heads flow 330 cfm....

I had a few rides like that also this last summer. It is alway nice winning over the LS1 guys. Never got a change to use the spray last summer but this spring instead of being annoyed maybe we can make them cry. Ran 4 different LS1 all with the same results or better. The guys that have the headers and the cam packages with the gears are the best because they surely believe in there hearts that it will be a cake walk. Then there like what do you have in there. Yaa its a LT1
I know there is always somebody faster but haven't run into that guy or girl yet with the setup. I built it to look nice and be realiable and then added some go fast parts.

I think it's funny overall, I hope in stock form they win. Bigger cam and more flow in the heads, geez wonder why they won? News flash lt4's beat lt1's for the same reason.

heck yeah man i'm glad someone is holding it up for us. these ls1 guys are starting to get a little to cocky if you ask me. but its mostly the guys that are close to stock who are cocky. most of my friends who have put money into there cars know its not about ls1 or lt1 or ls6, its about head flow and cam and CI's. i'm just gunna copy and paste what i said in the ls1 section.......
the reason why the lt1 needs heads and cam is because the lt1 heads dont flow at all. and the ls1 heads do. but it is also cheaper for the lt1 to buy heads and cam, then it is the ls1. lt1 can almost buy both for what it cost an ls1 to buy a cam package.
