-Factory rods and bolts
-Factory Mahle pistons
-Factory timing set (new GM chain, GM Vortec cam sprocket)

LOL I know all you guys were just sitting there reading the beginning of the post like "WTF kind of clown is this guy?"

I was starting to worry! What did you use to paint the block?
I just used Duplicolor High Gloss Black 500* paint. Nothing special.

This is just a stock shortblock setup obviously. I'm going to be running my Lingenfelter heads and the custom gring cam with the Cadillac lifters, 1.6 rockers, 918 springs, and good pushrods. Hoping to go 11.60s with it in a 3600lb car. Short times with the old setups were low 1.60s. Can I do it?

I was definetly looking forward to the results........ LOL! But on the real....... I will be the outbreak monkey and test my ARP studded 396 Two Bolt main LE3 heads and LE4 cam+ alot of juice LT1 professionally balanced. I have a great tuner and a hell of a fuel system so this could get interesting. Two bolt mains, bring it on.

What crank on your setup zex-z?

That black paint on the motor looks good, maybe I should try to paint mine.
