Default Nos vs Supercharger

Which of the two would be the better way to go. Nos set up or a Supercharger? H.P. wise and longevity of the motor too. Dollar side of it, I bet the supercharger is gonna be a lot more.

I personaly Like to run n2o. Its cheap for a base kit and you can fit it with all the cool accesorys down the road. Plus the only time it does any more wear is when it is engaged.

N2O will be cheaper by alot if you are staying with a stock motor. Power levels will be close and engine wear will be comparable.

If you have a motor with stock heads and bottom end it will not like the supercharger with 10:5:1 compression. That is alot of wear and tear even with 4.5 pounds. If you want to save some stress on that motor nitrous is the way to go. In addition, it will be light on the wallet if you dont use too much. Just make sure you pull enough timing to avoid detonation, cooler plugs, and a fuel safety switch. Oh and make sure your fuel pressure is up to par as well. F/P should be 43.5 I believe.

Nitrous all the way especially considering the compression you have and cost of everything. BTW NOS is a brand doesnt stand for Nitrous

My brother is running their 5.0 kit from nitrousoutlet.com and it is great. Once my motor gets built and the rest of the car dialed in I may have to run some nitrous through one of their plates.

You're not on a stock bottom end.

a vortech S trim kit is the best thing to get.... it wil give you around 130-150rwhp on 6psi depending on your mods done..... and when you decide to put better internal parts you can turn it up to around 12-13psi and get 550+rwhp out of the S trim, so you can grow into it and use it to its full capability which is a little uner 700hp at the flywheel ...... there are plenty of guys running these on 6psi and having no issues for years and never having to refill a bottle every time they want to go extra fast..... i have had nitrous and blowers and nitrous is cool for a while but its kinda BS having to fill the bottle all the time.....cause i full bottle dont last long at all

My old car had nitrous and my new car has a blower. Both are awesome in terms of performance, but if there's something I hated was refilling the bottle. It always seemed to happen at the worst time (like running cars that I knew were faster than mine). Purging always looked cool, even though it's a waste of laughing gas. I say go with a blower. Power's always there and that blower whine is intoxicating. I'm personally running a T-Trim on my 30th and it's LOUD.

i would go juice. the block should easily take a 100 shot and I hear great things about the lt1 plate from nitrousoutlet. like said before even at 4.5 lbs of boost your internals are not going to last too long especially if you are going hard on it. plus the initial cost is much higher. nitrous with the plate system and all the safety devices, (which i highly recommend), would still run less.

I say wease the juice and f@#k the boost, blower cars are VERY loud and easy to spot, VERY $$$$$, and can be VERY hard to dial in, easy to destroy the motor and or blower. Yes juice sucks when; it is not in a warm bottle, on a dead bottle, ran with the wrong spark plugs, ran with too little timming. But all in all those things are easy and cheap to over come, just go with a wet nos kit.

Go with the blower if you have the funds. Go with the N2O if you "need it now for cheap."
