I had to cut the metal cowl. There is no way to unbolt it. There was no way to save the wiper linkage with my full HSR. I even had to trim the plastic that covers the cowl.

No wonder nobody has come out with an aftermarket intake for your cars lol. What was GM thinking? With the hump in place, the 8 1/2 inch HSR will be a 1/2 inch to tall.

The newly formed 7 3/4 inch option will fit. What makes it shorter? There is a 1/4 inch of material on the top of the plenum(fins for design). That gets shaved off. Dropping the plenum 1/4 inch and shaving a 1/8 inch of the top of the runners. There will still be more plenum volume then on the stock HSR plenum. Removing the bolt hole provisions makes a HUGE difference in volume.

Why not just break out a hammer and smash the hump in?

However, if the World products setup has the raised air gap water crossover it would make for a cleaner look plus would be easier to modify. Hopefully if it comes to fruition it will be comparable to the HSR and give to guys another option to work with.

I'd still like to see an HSR with the crossover removed if there is a pic.

It reminds me of the old Accel set up for the tpi's. The manifold, runners and plenum were all separate. Along with a bunch of gaskets that were needed, the manifold and the runners put you over $800. Thats not including a plenum or the gaskets. I don't think it flowed that well either.

*New Update*

*We will start taking orders on FEB. 28th.*

We'll post the info thread and ordering details that afternoon. We need to know how many orders we'll have a little early so we know whether or not we need to hire more welders. The L98s taught us a valuable lesson in that department.

Yes, there will be. But, the intake will have to be an air gap.
