Doesnt sound transmission related to me, sounds like something loose under the car. Check the trans mount and check to make sure the exhaust isnt hitting the floor.

You don't think it's the throw out bearing? When the pedal is in, the bearing is acting on the fingers of the pressure plate and spinning. When the pedal is released the bearing is not on the fingers so it's not spinning.

hmmm....was you able to feel the sound coming from the console and feel it in the shifter handle?
reason im asking is cause i had somewhat the same problem but different sound but the same ...if that makes sense.

it stopped but now i hear a bunch of rattling coming from the tranny area under the console Im guessing cause i hear and feel it in the shifter too.

its in 1, 2nd and 3rd gears.......I ended up buying a new clutch kit, slave, master and bleeder. Just having gotten around the installing it all.
