My buddy us putting a 12 bolt in his bolt on/nitrous m6, should he go 3.73s or 4.10s, Also, what if he runs a 28in instead of 26.

if all you do is drag race yes 410's. if your looking just to do ocassional track time some street scurmishes and keep the rpms reasonable for cruising then 3:73's. the big advantage with that 12 bolt is sticky tires!

I would say if he runs a 26" tire then 4.10, 28" tire I would say to go to 4.30 or 4.56. 3.73 is not worth it, imo

people who argue 3.73 gears for gas milage or rpm just dont understand the MN6 cars. i got 24 mpg on the highway @ 80 mph all the time with 4.56 gears. lol. rpms were still only 2100 at 70 mph with the 4.56 gears and 1900 rpms with the 4.10 gears. only thing you notice is more acceleration.

4.10s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just got my custom 8.8 put in this last weekend and I have the 4.10s. I ****** LOVE them. don't run 28" on 3.73 or 4.10s, bog. run a 28" tire, on 4.30s or higher.

But If you get into power adders the 4.10s will likely be too steep.

I've got 4.56's and run 28" tires. cross the traps at 122+, in 4th at about 6400rpm. love em on the street too. Hell, I can actually start out in 5th riding the clutch just a little... ya, that's kinda rediculous. lol.
