I heard this from a few people today. These past few weeks there has been lots of talk about making front tints legal (to a certain % tint). Can anyone actually confirm that this is true?

50%... Thats not even worth the money. Guess its better than nothing though. What.. if it passes are cops going to carry some kind of gauge that they can compare your tint too? I vote scrap the 50% bullshit and get rid of the front plate law

I think one of the options was to get 35% all the way around. 50% wouldn't be worth it at all.

even if they only pass 50% thats going to take the heat off pulling people over for front tint...+1 on the front plate removal. while were at it let us carry guns, thiefs are less likely to attack if the other guy might have a gun. And just for ***** and giggles legalize fireworks..there fun!!

Or, since petitions take too long, let's just all move to Indiana. No front plate, tints, no emissions, AND fireworks!!!!

Then if that works and Illinois fixes these laws, we should get a nation wide movement to Canada until the US starts seeing the real power of it's citizens!

yea the front plates gotta go. My question is if Illinois is gonna legalize front window tint then what about the driver & passenger doors? Is it still a no no? If not I don't care cause my tint will not come off !

I was in NC recently and for some reason, the cars looked way better than they do in Chicago. It didn't take me long to realize that it was the no rust and no front plate thing.

50% tint is not much though - it looks like one may step it down to 35% and not have any issues with getting pulled over. My sister has been using ~20% all around on her A4 for about 3 years now - 1 ticket (dismissed) and a few warnings over time.
