Default High Rolling Chicago Neighborhoods.

Well, I Took A Drive on Sunday To Sight-See Some Of My Great City.

As some of you know, we have some pretty ritzy areas in Chicagoland. I drove up to Elgin and cruised around the Streamwood Area and my jaw stayed on the floor. The size of some of those houses were ridiculous. The only other area I could think of that came close was Palos Hills/Park. Maybe Winnetka..

So, I'd like to know which areas you guys think are the best/ritziest. I'm sure you guys even know people from some good areas and can share some funny/interesting info. I'll Add A Poll Later

Beverly has some nice houses, but they're far from huge. Unless there is an area of Beverly I haven't seen, then they're not giant. I live right up the street from there.

Hinsdale has some huge houses and all of them are in the millions. My buddy owns his own landscape company and does all his landscaping in the hinsdale area and let me tell you that those people have money. This new construction house we did had a basketball court in the basement. Plus all the landscaping came out to around 80k.

i live in BurrRidge(not a rich area though) and like said above, hinsdale has some amazingly big houses. so does BUrrRidge and Oakbrook. just about 2 miles away a guy just had a house built that looks like an arabian palace. i think it is something like 14,000 sq ft. with a 20 car garage in the basement.
2 miles in the other direction is the biggest house in Il. it is still under construction(outside is done but insade is pretty much gutted) but its huge.i think the guy building it actually ended up in jail.
supposedly it's 43,000 sq ft

Drive down Longwood or parts of Seeley.

Skokie, Highland Park, Winetka, Glencoe to add to the already growing list.

Talley's Corner. (Just Kidding)

Someone mentioned Burr Ridge and Hinsdale- Great areas. Convenient, close to the highway and tollway, good hospital and schools- just expensive as hell.

Kenilworth is the richest town in IL (most money per resident). The homes are, well, amazing. One drive along Sheridan Rd through this town will leave a lasting impression.

Lincolnwood Towers is also a VERY nice area. It's no Kenilworth, but here are some pics:

West Bev's houses aren't HUGE, but they're badass in general. Longwood Drive, every house is on top of a hill with some long winding driveway and rod iron gates at the bottom. They get smaller as you go further west. But they're just cool designs. Old school brick design, copper gutters, rod iron, etc. And every other house is different...No cookie cutters.

I live right off of 95th and Ashland so Beverly has lost it's "WOW" factor for me. They're really not that BIG either. They're just really "nice".

I actually made this thread hoping that RPM would post up up a good response since he seems to have a handle on Illinois and how things work/play.I guess i'll have to take a cruise through those areas

I don't know how those guys have that much bank to drop on houses and cover the yearly real estate tax, etc. I would like to hear what businesses/professions those guys are in. I've got a good guess about the one with the basketball court in the basement.

And That House if Effin' Huge.
