It keeps getting harder and harder to get anything done right for a fair price
I dropped off my 2 rear bogart wheels and brand new mickey thompson drag radials to get mounted and balanced. I dropped them off right before work yesterday and told them I would pick them up today. So I go to pick them up and the guy says you didn't want them balanced did you. Huh...of course I want them balanced. So he looks and they have weights on them so he says they've been balanced then I pick one of them up and it's flat. He puts some air in it and says it will seal up eventually. I had to get my azz to work so I didn't have time to argue with him, but I'll be heading back tomorrow to butt heads with the sumb*tch!! I really don't trust that they've balanced either wheel and they definately didn't get the beed right on at least one of them because that tire has already lost half of its pressure.

Wednesday GTG pretty much got us rolling to a good start to Spring/Summer....Rookies had a quality turnout of cars...didn't even get mine in the pics....
...a few of us hit Hooters on the way home
& then ended up where the beach is...

I really wanted to make it out, but got stuck on a couple projects on the car and didn't get done until about 8:00pm. Hope to make the next one. And I am already planning on CFR for May 3rd.

Klyn's tire in Oskaloosa. They have usually been good in the past, but it looked like they had some new guys working there so that's probably the problem. When I went to pick them up it was the owner I talked to and that's what bothers me. His guys messed it up and instead of getting them mounted correctly and checking the balance he throws some air in it and says it will seal up eventually.

Dang man that sucks. Is this the Goodyear place in Oskalooser? You should go to Ottumwa and have them mounted if you wanted to drive a little ways or go up to the Goodyear place in Pella for that matter. Hope they get it straightened out for ya.

Oskalooser??? lol...It's not the worst place in Iowa. No it wasn't goodyear I had troubles with them in the past they stripped most of my rear studs on the goat putting my wheels back on. After that I started just taking the tires and wheels to the shop and dropping them off so I could put them on the car myself. It's the place by Wendy's if you remember osky that well. I pumped the tire that wasn't holding air up as hard as the pump at the gas station could do and it seems to be holding air now. I just can't trust their work anymore mounting and balancing tires on a car that I drag race.

Saw a camaro earlier today roaming around Ames, red with blank manta. Z06 wheels and it seemed like TD (pipes appeared to stop right before the rear end). Looked pretty nice and sounded real good 
. It was really nice out today, but its gonna rain tonight/tommorow, gotta love iowa.
