apparently my 8.8 isn't liking me too much. I was told i was on borrowed time after having a friends dad check it out. It seems as that my ring gear is wanting to climb out of the housing and was walking around due to a broken cast iron carrier shim. Chewed up carrier bearings in 2 months. I may have to run a 9''. I know for sure it was it was torqued properly, shimmed properly, and also had a girdle.

Lucas, that sucks man. Real freakin hard. If you need anything for the rear that Moser sells, shoot me a PM and I'll see if I can hook you up on it.

Thanks Drew, I'm still exploring the options. I need to find a 9" housing and see how my 8.8 torque arm will mount up. might take a ton of fabrication to make it work. the torque arm mounts to the axle tubes very close to the pig, and then it follows the contour of the diff and mounts to the pinion flange. I set my pinion angle off the pinion flange by using shims inbetween the t.a. and flange... IDK what the hell i'm going to do yet. The axle is going back in this week. I guess i'll have to restrain myself... Yeah right!

Bullshit, you love me and you know it.
Hells yea dawg. Rollin' on 3 wheels in style bitches!
I just realized that between Friday and Saturday, we saw a donk on hydros rolling on three wheels (and almost flipping over) and a Mustang do an endo. Great success!

Luke,
Old guy, stoned off his *** up at ricer land on Friday night. Tries to do a burnout in front of all the ricers, instead he wheelhops more violently than I've ever seen, the back of the car literally bounced several feet off the ground, it looked like he was doing an endo!
When it landed, it broke the rear axle tube, and he still tried to drive off. The only thing holding it in was the c-clip on the axle. Ouch.
Nick walks over there: "Hey man, aren't you supposed to pull the FRONT wheels?"
Old stoned dude: "I just had some motor work done, it's got too much power, needs suspension work"
Nick: "I'm pretty sure the issue isn't too MUCH power"
It was AWESOME.

Looks cool, can't see it being very functional though. Definitely wouldn't want to try to take a corner at any rate of speed on that thing, looks like an inverted chopper.
Not sure what everyone is up to this weekend, but the Top Fuel bikes (and about 300 other bikes) will be down at ORP Saturday/Sunday. Pretty bitchin' to see if you've never been. It may storm Sunday, so I'd recommend coming down on Saturday if you're interested.
Edit: Who is WRX? I'm assuming I know you...
