Shocker is correct. The tune is everything, and since its a 98 it will not be a sinch. I have used and trusted Bryan in the past, and he has never given me anything but a sound tune everytime with no issues.
Blake, your buddy isn't coming north anytime soon is he?
If I can't get a trailor, I might end up driving it. I really don't want to as I still think its un-reliable, and even though I plan on changing plugs and oxygen sensors after the drive, but before the tune, there is always the possibility with issues. It seems to be driving "okay" here and there past the cam surge and idling issues. But it stumbles and shakes here and there and runs really rich.
So far, the only possible trailors are U-haul for $100, or a goose-neck trailor I can't attach to anything to make it work.

I'm not really worried about the bad idle for the trip as it will mostly be a highway trip. I am however concerned as every once in a while I will get a very bad surge (possibly cam surge) in the car while driving it through the gears or even trying to hold it at highway speeds. It will shake a sputter pretty bad, and to have that occur on a 300+ mile trip to PA at 3 a.m. in the morning on its way to the tune is not something I am going to feel very comfortable with.
