LT1 T-56 - Built in Germany, usually holds 700 RWHP without to many issues

LS1 T-56 - Built in Mexico, countless issues running near stock RWHP (just check out the transmission thread for a taste of all the issues)

There's even a place down in FL which specializes in swapping out LS1 T-56's for LT1 T-56's. I think they have to change the belhousing to make it work.

I stand corrected. Only issues I knew about with the LS1 style T56 was the 3/4 fork and the synchro keys. I've been told my tranny with those and the pads replaced should take 800+ RWHP in my 3000 Lbs car by a bunch of builders though.

I guess we shall see, eh?

Yes I am. My Goodyear Eagle GTs had sidewall failure after ~8k miles (4 months), so Luis swapped them out for some Yokohamas for a good price (which I would hope, since I have a warranty on them). Then, when they were mounted up, one of my rims got messed up by the clamp (couple of gouges in the aluminum). Rocky is getting me taken care of though; I had a couple of tweaks in two of the wheels, so he's sending them to Transwheel (or Saturn) to get them straightened out for me, and I'll refinish the damage on the lips myself.

That's why Discount is awesome, Rocky is THE MAN.

I have to say that Discount Tire is one of the very few businesses I have gone to MANY times over the past 10 years with no problems! Very well run, great prices, outstanding service.

Any traction? Are they running tropy races?

Nick, Luke and I went down on a Friday, we made 2-3 passes each, MAX, and there was NO track prep (unless you count oil downs and crisco).

Unrelated, my car is nearing completion. Might have it on the road in a week or two. Nick's car should be fired up very shortly also.

Not sure what you mean about traction my stock RSA's hook just fine Then again my **** is slow and awd! If Rodney has his new motor in he will need lots of VHT.
Good to hear you guys will be up and running soon.

WOOHOO

Speaking of which, I'm going to need the Y-pipe and down pipe for the turbo kit TIG'd next week. Anyone got any suggestions/recomendations for someone who's an excellent TIG welder around here?

Nick what are your plans for the exhaust? Single outlet out the rear with a fart can would be great. Like Drew's car, awesome

Probably just a 4" dump before the rear tire, but I'm fo sho going to hang the nastiest fart pipe I can find on ebay where the stock exhaust goes. I'd really like to find one that lights up with brake lights and turn signals and everything
