After first round of MIG welding and after minimal grinding:

Welds have since been ground flat, and I'll be taking them to Chris to have them back purged and fusion welded after we get the collectors built. Then they're off to Swaintech for ceramic coating

Them look purdy! Are you going to have them coated when you are done?

Thanks! I'll be sending the headers and the turbine housings to Swaintech for their White Lightning ceramic coating. Need to decide if I'm going send the first piece of down pipe for each side (from the turbo to the tranny) as well, or just wrap those

I will always have a soft spot for those 3rd gens, had an 88 Iroc back in 93! The TPI was a sweet looking motor and fast enough for an 18 yr old.

Well, I tore my transmission down and fixed the output shaft. Didn't have enough cash to buy another so I welded it back together. Should hold up better than new.

I'm going out to Houston the last 2 weeks in March to check out the School of Automotive Machinists, the University of Houston and houses out there, just so happens that TX2k11 and the Texas Mile take place during those 2 weeks . HOPING the car will be done in time so I can take it out there. One of the other RX7 guys went 207 in the mile with a single turbo LS3 on 5lbs
