I thought you were talking about Massey's car since they were just talking about it in the few previous posts.

Who do you guys recommend to repair this? Plus a couple of other touch up areas. Hell if I can find quality work at a decent price, I would like to repaint the whole car.

I'm a painter at the Dimension body shop. Depending on damage and the paint code, I could probably do it for $250-300. If you're serious, I can repaint the whole think for a couple thousand depending on condition and prep work needed. The less I have to prep, the less it'll cost you

I used my buddy tim kiefer who works at IAA auto body in New Haven, he did my engine bay which looks sick! Hit Nate or I up for his number, the guy does amazing work and is very detailed about everything he does.

Just got back from RPM. Took the trans and converter, not the whole car (they're swamped). Rodney and the crew were awesome. Go in, introduce myself, tell Rodney what's up (TJ wasn't there today), and they just dropped everything and went to work. Literally, 4 guys started tearing it apart while I waited. Looked very NASCAR-esque. Pretty amazing. Bottom line: nothing broken, only a torn seal. They all remarked how "new" it all looked. Decided that since it's already apart, upgrading it to Stage 7. Rodney actually recommended a Stage 6 with a billet output shaft, but it wasn't that much to go to the 7 with billet input and output shafts and some other upgrades.

The bad news: still don't know what caused the "noises". They'll test the converter on the dyno when it's all back together. Rodney suggested the locker/rearend.

Added bonus: since it's already apart, they'll start on it right away. Probably have it ready to go back in the car in a week.

Great news Scott! The guys at RPM are always top notch. With the level 7 its just one less thing to worry about.

Good to hear it wasn't all torn up. Wow, Rodney actually talked to you ....
You are blessed. TJ is a good guy to deal with as well.

Does anyone have an ECM that I can borrow? I have 2006 LQ9 going in a 72 nova. I am having trouble getting the injectors to pulse. I want to make sure it is a computer problem before I buy another one. It would need VATS turned off, but I do have HP tuners.
PM me
Thanks,
Brandon

The time has come to sell the wife's toy that hardly gets driven anymore now that we have 2 kids and a G8 GT. I thought I would give you Ft. Wayne Peeps a first look at it and if anyone is interested it would give me a good excuse to come home for a bit.

The car runs and drives great, with more fuel system and a bigger/better turbo it would make some really good numbers!

Any questions just ask!

Thats a hell of a deal Josh! There are some builds that cost more than that car that won't have everything that does. Good luck on the sale buddy!

BTW, Nick, the car is looking great!

Brandon,

I'd give you a 99% chance it's NOT the PCM.

Does your HP Tuners talk to the PCM? If it responds, it's extremely unlikely to be bad. Much more likely that there is an issue with power or signal wiring to the injectors.

Do you have a copy of the pinouts for the harness and PCM? I would take a multi meter and set it to "buzz" mode so that it beeps/buzzes when you touch the leads together, then make sure you have continuity on all the leads, as well as consistent voltage at the injectors.

Also, make sure any +12 IGN leads you've grabbed have power during crank as well as run.

Blake,
HP does talk to the PCM. I get cranking RPM's & I can see where it pulses 1 time. I do not have a copy of the pinouts(yet). That was last thing the guy helping said to do this past weekend. I have the stock pinout & with that we took a look at my PSI harness and were able to figure most of the wires out. We did not yet check them with the multimeter. Jon @ PSI is sending me another PCM, so I can rule that out. I got the PCM off ebay a year ago, so it did not come from PSI.
Thanks for the help. I will let you guys know how it goes. Hopefully I'll get the PCM by this weekend.
