That setup on the Supra isn't making 1000whp. I have the same setup with 272s cams and make 850whp. I don't know of any 74mm Turbo supras making 1000whp

I seriously doubt 100whp is going to result in that hard of a pull.

Either that or there is something wrong with the C5Z.

EDIT: Apparently the Z06 was having major traction issues on the runs as well.
Makes more sense if it was a case of who had better traction.

The big giveaway that he isn't making 1000whp are those cams and the turbo. Those cams would really choke the motor at 1000whp and the turbo would have to push a lot more boost at to hit the 4 digit mark.

The E85 setup and 264 cams allow that car to make more torque and midrange than most Supras making the same power.

Something doesnt add up there. Either that vette was having serious traction issues or the Supra is making a **** ton of power to pull like that.

They are supposedly making about the same power.

According to the supra owner, the vette was having traction issues as well.

Like I said before unless he had bigger cams and a bigger turbo the Supra isn't gonna make much more than 800whp at that boost level.

yea, it looked like he was on some 19's in the video. That vette looks an awful lot like my buddies old c5. Same setup as well. And if it is that car then somethings wrong, because I know how that car runs.

And owning a Supercharged Z06 I have a feeling on how both would run. A Supra with his setup would have some strong midrange and top end power with the type of cams he is using as well as the added torque across the powerband from E85. Bottom line both cars were fighting for traction and are strong runners.

I believe that's my old C5. I don't know if the reported number for it's hp is correct as I sold it with a D1 on it. It made that number with a D1 + 100shot on 91. It also looks like he's rocking the 19s which I know I could spin at 70 so it takes a little driver mod.

I believe the 100rwhp or so difference would pull like that. That's a lot to give up in a race. It's like a stock honda accord vs a stock C5.

Looking at the mods and boost that was claimed in the Supra it wasn't making anything more than 850whp. The Z06 made 786whp and a setup like that on the Supra would make low 800s.

Wonder why he isn't pushing some more boost on that 402 with an F1A? Isn't 13psi barely spinning for that big of a blower?

fact is, the Sup is probably making minimum 100 more to the wheels, which is more then enough to do what it did to the Vett.
