So i took my car to the track for the first time and the fastest time i got was 13.05 at 107 my 60ft was 2.06 my car is a 02 ws6 with lt, ory, p&p throttle body, msd/ngk, gmmg, 3000 stall, and dyno tune it made 330rwhp and 326rwtq it was like 60 degrees out and my tires were set at 25 psi i launched it at 1200 everytime i launched it higher it spun pretty bad and i could only give it like 70% throttle out or it would spin. any advice on how to improve my times would be great thanks

You can improve your time with better tires or do a little with your suspension. I dont know if its just me but seems like ur hp/tq numbers are a a tad low for a 02 ws6 car with the mods you have. Where did you get it dynotuned at? What is your gear ratio? Are you A4 or M6?

I don't know about street tires, I guess it would just depend on what kind. I have a very mild bolt-on car with som kumho 275/40/17s and even launching off of idle, it just wants to sit there in a cloud of smoke. I definitely agree with 12.60s, but I would think you might need some drs, especially with the stall.

When I had my auto, I was using YANK ST 3500 w/ 3.42 rear.
I dynoed my car a day prior of running it at track and ran 12.2 @ 110 in a 1/4 that following day.
EDIT: And that best run was on stock suspension, 18s on the front and 17s w/ MT ET streets at the back. No weight reduction. Total race weight was 3429 lbs.

dude, i had my car at the track this weekend. it is stock with a lid and cat back on 235 streets, launching at 1200rpms to WOT at the light hooked and ran consistant 2.00 60ft times manually shifting the A4 between 5500 and 6000 rpms. With a good burnout and a well prepped track. i think your stall is too much for street tires, get some drag radials and happy racing.

It is really interesting what kind of difference you get when you go to the track for the first time and what experience does for you. I like to vary my pressure and see what that does... sometimes 18, 19, sometimes 20. Leave the car in D and brings the RPMs up to the point just before your tires start breaking lose. That is what I do.
