I did the bump stop mod. Can some one please post a pic of there bump stop mod? I want to make sure I didn't go to far. My volt meter isn't working. So I ground down the bump stop some. I don't think I went to far. Just want to see others. Thanks guys

Mine seems a bit more then that. The volt meter reads 4.40. But if you look into the tb, the blade is almost at 90. Guess I'll see how things go next time I drive the car.

...wierd, every one I've ever looked at does open all the way right from GM...on trucks and cars.

Are you guys probing through the insulation of wires under your hoods too? Thats a great way to cause lots of problems with those wires down the line (corrosion inside the insulation, resistance in the wires, continuity issues, voltage signal issues), just plug a scan tool in and look at the TPS voltage that the PCM is reporting if you're really curious what it is.

It is. Now my car runs like crap. Has a studder at wot. Like a misfire. Drives fine any other time. Go wot and the car just breaks up. Now I need a new tb.

I could. Never really thought of that. I just had it ported to. Maybe it is ported to much. I still think the issue is the bumpstop mod. I'll have to jb weld it and see what it does.

When you do, a good trick i picked up is to put a piece of tape on around the outside of the part you're building up, with the edge of the tape extending past the part... like making a little wall around where you want to put the JB. Now you can add the JB, and it will flow out to the tape, matching the profile of the part.

just drill and tap it so you can run a set screw and you'll be able to dial it back to where you want it

ooo, fancy That's actually a great idea.. Have your meter ready, loctite the threads on the set screw, install it, set the voltage you want from the tps, let the loctite set. easy peasy.

You don't need a meter until the end; you want it
dead-center by the ruler, at full draw. The TPS
voltage should be fine there, just check it.

I did feel SOP improvement but the cable will only go so far like they said, maybe why some people don't feel an improvement.
All you do is remove the cable and twist it a few times to shorten it and idle will adjust.
By the way nice job pheer, looks like you milled it off . If you do mill it off then you should drill and tap while it is out lots easier.
