How much oil does your LS1 eat?

How much oil does your LS1 eat? i want to hear how much oil your LS1 will consume over the course of 3,000 miles. ill start off by saying mine *DOES NOT* burn/eat any oil at all! but then again i have a friend whos 00 ws6 will eat around 3 quarts per 3,000 miles. so i want to hear how hungery your beast is.

Going by dipstick and catch can... maybe 1/4ounce every 1000 miles the dipstick stays right on from where I filled it... I guess I'm one of the lucky ones

I used to brag that I used no or little oil in 3000 miles and at that time (about a year ago and around 20,000 miles) the WS6 only ate 1/2 a quart every 3000 miles. Since it has gone up and is eating 1 and 1/2 quart every 3000 miles and I have noticed some slap. The dealership said it is NORMAL to burn 1 quart every 2000 miles and is expected.

I just finished up a 5000 mile interval with German Castrol Syntec 0w30, and did not need to add any oil at all. I suggest you guys give this oil a try also, I know a few guys who switched their LS1s over to it and found their consumption went way down compared to Mobil 1 5w30.

I'm in the 1/2 to 1qt in 3000 miles category using Royal Purple's 5w30, but everyone should list their oil weights as well. The LS1 eats a lot less when you run the heavier stuff.

Mobil1 10w30, do not see change on the dipstick, few tablespoons in a catch can after 3k miles.

I have right at 15,000 miles on my car. I use Mobil1 5W30. I have since 500miles. The car dosen't eat any oil. Knock on wood! Car has been to the track 20 to 30 times and long road trips.

116,500+ miles and it still doesn't use a drop of oil.....ok, it uses about 5 1/2 quarts at every oil change 
The car doesn't burn any oil, and I'm tickled to say it. I use Mobil 1 5w30, and keep it changed every 3,000.
I'm not sure about the truck yet, I'm doing the first oil change on it (since I bought it) tomorrow. After that, I'll keep it checked often as it's now my main driver.
