Question My X-mas present: 4.10's or LS6 Intake?

My parents are asking for X-mas present ideas and I'm thinking either gettin gears or an intake. I just got finished with my cam install and know that an LS6 intake would help get the most out of the cam. But, since my T/A is only a street car I'm looking for the best SOTP difference and I know gears help a lot, especially with a good size cam. I won't be launching at all with sticky tires, so I'm not worried bout the 10 bolt too much. Eventually I'll get both, but can only get one or the other. There about the same price since I'd install the gears myself. What should I go with first?

Thanks guys...

If u put 4.11 in a 10 bolt it will not be long untill u need the 12 bolt. Do the intake. I just read your sig. Save for the 12 bolt.

Get 4.10s,they are THE best m6 mod for the buck.I Did the ls6 intake after the cam/headers and gained zero in ET/MPH.I felt no difference on the street either.I pulled low 1.8s w/nittos time and again with the 10 bolt,it still lives on.Get a girdle too.

I vote for the intake...a necessity for cammed cars.

Go with the gear, I think you will feel it more than you would the intake. Since you aren't going to put sticky tires on it I don't think the rear will give you any problems.

If your not going with sticky tires, whats the point of gears? Definately go with the intake and let that cam breath some.

intake vote here also since you have that cam, save gears until 12-bolt. all IMHO

I'm not spending a dime on anything to do with my 10 bolt. When it breaks I'll get a 12 bolt with gears. Another vote for the intake. I just did mine recently and can't believe I didn't install it sooner. Good gains here.

its a tuff one, but I guess i would have to say intake since you have your cam in. Think if you do break the 10 bolt w/ 4.10s you will have to get a 12 bolt then and still wont have an intake. Get the intake and save for the 12 bolt and go with the Strange 12. That is my plan within the next year or so. Strange 12 w/4.10s.

Another vote for the intake. You ABSOLUTELY need that thing to let the cam breathe up top!
