Default Did I hurt anything?

I dont know why, but today for some reason when i was jacking my car up the frame that the jack was on just bent... when I say bent i mean folded in half ALMOST, not all the way. I asked a few poeple they all said it would be fine and that it didnt hurt anything, just wanted to varify. Also, the spot I was jacking the car up is next to the back wheel, near the back of the drivers door.

It'll be fine.I wouldnt jack like that anymore though!

If i dont jack on the actual rear,I use the part of the subframe in front of the lower control arm.Or on my subframe connector.

You had the jack under the sheet metal 'rocker panel' and not the frame. Hope you didn't bent it too bad.

Next time, jack it on the lower trailing arm - the thing you're calling the subframe connector.

He's right.

An actual subframe connector connects the front to rear subframes.Which you have to buy aftermarket.

The part with the hole in it behind where you jacked is the rear subframe. You can jack there.

oh pinch rail damage. you didnt hurt anything, it just will look bad thats all. when it comes to jacking up a car or putting it on a lift use the sub frame. also if you are just trying to jack up one of the rear tires, just use the differental. dont feel too bad about it everyone does it once in their life and then they learn

Yep , learn from mistakes . I still wonder why they bent this time though, and i've jacked the car up in that same spot a lot.

But yea, i guess i'll start using the subframe from now on.

yepppppp looks like you're going to need a new water pump after that one

just put the jack under the thing with the hole in it! there's a place similar on the front. i usually drive my car up on the 2x6 ramps i built, then jack up the whole front by the k-member.

and if you dont QUITEEEEEEEE have enough lift, you bust out the yellow pages!

I put my jack along here, inboard of the control arm, and then place my jack stand.
