Default Finally bought my car...1998 Z28 BGM M6

Hey Guys

Ive been reading this site for a while on my quest for a Camaro. finally picked one up today. I bought a 1998 Z28 M6, Bright Green Metallic. I think the color is pretty rare (1 of 323 Z28s in BGM). Full Tan leather and a Hardtop too. I picked it up with 80K on the clock for $8000.

Its in really nice condition...it rips too (althought Im used to driving the Jeep).

Check my Jeep out too its in the back of the photo.

Let me know what you guys think, now that I have the car Im looking forward to being a more active member here.

I like it. It looks like it someone took good care of it. It's nice to see a unique (different) color on an fbody. And yes, Jeeps are cool, although I'm kinda partial to trucks.

NICE color combo. Does look well cared for. Good value to my idea. I like something less common if it looks right and yours does.

That looks really nice. $8000, great price. I can't find hardly anything for $8000, and certainly not in that condition.

Yeah as soon as I saw the ad for it I knew I had to have it. The color combo is really cool to me because its rare, I doubt Ill ever see another one like it.

The only downisde right now is it has a set of Bridgestone Blizzaks on it right now (brand new though!) in a 215 width. My buddy just bought a C5 vette this weeks and is gonna sell me the wheels and tires for $400- they are only like 60 % tread, but better than snow tires in May! Besides that Im only gonna change the exhaust tips (hate the rectangles), fill in the Camaro letetrs (silver), and tint the windows (light).

Just drove it around all night...man is this thing sweet.

Congrats! I too have a hardtop BGM Z28 but it's an A4. For some reason I've been seeing quite a few BGM Z28's for sale recently...2 on autotrader in my area. Enjoy your new ride!

Wow thought this thread was dead! Thanks for the comments guys!

As an update, so far Ive done the vinyl fill ins for "CAMARO" on the back, got rid of the rectangle exhaust and picked up some cheapo 3.5 tips (better than rectangles until I can get a catback down the road), and added 18x9.5 Alloy C6 wheels with 275/35/r18.

Check the "appearance" section for updated Pictures tonight.

I really like the Tan, tan and green seem to go together really well. My old SHO has Green and Grey and it was...somewhat depressing

So heres an updated Pic, I think ill wait until i get a nicer day/better camera to make an official "check my new wheels" thread in the wheels/appearance section:

Let me know what ya think- new tips, wheels, and inserts.

Nice looking Z. And that's a real good price too. There aren't many other BGM's around so keep that thing clean.

Yeah I liked the price too. It's definetley gonna be kept clean cause I know its rare. Like the stripes on yours. Although I gotta say I prefer it without the front grille. You ever think about halo headlights?,I think they would look good on the BGM cars.
