Nothing against magnaflow, but I have heard the SLP loudmouth I on a 98-02 Z28 and I haven't heard anything better. One in particular i raced under an overpass, i was in my old 95 formula with Hooker longtubes and 3" exhaust all the way back to a cutout. I could here his exhaust, partially because he was slightly ahead of me, over mine and my car was loud!!! I guess its just a matter of opinion, but as far as a deep, throaty muscle car sound, I think the SLP is the way to go.

Ever heard the gmmg exhaust?
I run magnaflow it sounds good even better with headers. Its not real loud untill you lay into it. But it is cheap compared to a few others.

i looked at magnaflow for a while....its too quiet for the LS1 IMO...get the loudmouth and you won't be dissappointed, unless of course you plan on getting an ory, but even then its not too loud, just nasty mean sounding

I got a loud mouth and love it. don't have headers yet but i heard it gets little raspy. i don't mind i think it makes it sound meaner but hope you can put up with the long trips on the highway if you do any its prob gonna be little annoying after while
