Default Collector's Plates?

Sorry i'm not sure if this is in the right form. I was just curious to get some information about collector's plates. I have a 2000 trans am thats completely stock and i was wondering if its even possible to get collectors plates for it? My buddy has a '94 TA (which i'm pretty sure is the 25th ann. year) but his car is not the actual anniversary car, and he managed to get collectors plates. What do you guys think? Thanks for your help!

in wisconsin a vehicle has to be something like 20 years old and can only be driven like 9 months out of the year.

check your states dmv for information.

On my 02 z28 there is a special edition model that is for the 35th anniversary, but every camaro they made that year has the plaque inside of it. The only difference that I know of was the paint job and the plaque would say #whatever of so many built. Probably the same kind of deal.

I live in ohio and got collector plates to avoid e-check anymore. They said mine qualified because they no longer make the car. I called of the state bmv headquarters and asked about getting collector plates. They asked me the year, model, and engine of it, they looked it up on their database, and said I could get them. I asked if I still needed any inspection or e-check, they said no, and next day sent the $$ and paperwork. Just call them and they will tell you on the spot if your car qualifies......

- just noticed that you live prolly 30mins away, lol. So this info is exactly what you need to do. It even says on your registration that your car is e-check exempt

If you need any #'s to call for this, I prolly still have them, just need to look through some paperwork. let me know..

Questions like this should be posted in your regional section, as every state has different rules.

Thanks.
